18th January 2025 - Book Launch
Join local author Emma Felling for the launch of her first novel, Fight Not For Glory in the awe inspiring medieval surroundings of Newcastle Castle. There will be complimentary food and drink in the castle’s Gaol with the opportunity for visitors to meet the author, buy the book and get an exclusive after-hours tour of the Castle Keep, as well as the chance to chat to some of our re-enactors portraying characters from the Scottish Wars of Independence. Then head over to the Black Gate for a short talk by the author on the life and rule of Robert the Bruce
